Smallnest (2011 – 2012): I helped start a company with two other TripIt employees. We developed a baby tracking iOS app for new parents — think Nike+ for diaper changes. TripIt (2008 – 2011): As the Principal Designer at TripIt, I worked across various platforms (web, mobile web and native mobile) to help travelers better organize their travel. I was the first design hire and eventually built a complete team of product designers. TripIt was one of Time Magazine’s 50 Best Websites in 2009. View details
Hot Studio (2007 – 2008): I worked with FindLaw, Dave Eggers (yes, that one) and art:21. On each project, I played a more traditional generalist UX role – doing research, defining project strategy and finally wireframing a vision for the projects. View details
Hotwire (2001 – 2006): I worked across our product verticals (air, hotel and packages) and transactional check-out flows. In 2004, I started managing a team that grew to three interface designers. Our team was responsible for the core visual and interaction design, as well as user research, prototyping, usability testing.
Epinions (2000 – 2001): You can accomplish a lot in 1.5 years at a fast-paced startup. At Epinions, I’m most proud of the redesign and optimization we completed. Our small design team was responsible for research, design and final delivery of a comprehensive styleguide of our vision – all built in HTML for engineering. View details
